Los Angeles, CA
Time to pay the bills. PokerStars has finally announced their 2010 WSOP promotions. As per usual, you have three ways to win a seat at PokerStars... Cash satellites, Step satellites, or FPP satellites.
I'm too lazy today to re-write a press release, so I might as well cut and paste what they sent me...
This week PokerStars.com launches a large array of qualifying tournaments for the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas. For as little as $1.10 or 100 FPPs, players can win a $12,000 prize package that includes the $10,000 entry in the 2010 WSOP Main Event, eight nights accommodation at an ultra-luxurious resort, and $1,000 in cash. Qualifying tournaments will run until the start of the Main Event in early July, with a massive 200-seat guarantee Mega Satellite taking place on June 20.If you don't have a PokerStars account, you have to download the PokerStars software to open an account.
In addition to winning a generous Main Event prize package, players that qualify for the WSOP Main Event on PokerStars.com will also be eligible to receive fantastic extras upon arrival in Las Vegas, compliments of PokerStars.com. The extras include 50,000 VIP Player Points credited to the qualifier's PokerStars account; two invitations to an exclusive PokerStars party which will take place on July 11, 2010 - venue to be confirmed - and a PokerStars gift bag.
But no poker player enters the WSOP Main Event just to take part - the aim is to win! To reward qualifiers who go deep in the tournament, PokerStars.com is offering a free package (including hotel accommodations, Main Event buy-in and travel money) into any NAPT Main Event - including the $10,300 buy-in 2011 PCA in the Bahamas - to every eligible qualifier who cashes in the WSOP Main Event. Players get to choose the package they want, and if a PokerStars qualifier goes on to win the Main Event, he or she will also be eligible for a bonus payment of a cool $1,000,000 in cash and tournament buy-ins.* * * * *
