  1. In the heat of the moment I couldn't recall it, but Hellmuth actually had a 2nd and a 3rd in 2006, both in NLHE events and another 3rd in 2008 in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. Counting the five other 2nds and 3rds he's had in the WSOP, that's actually 19 times he's come "that close" at the WSOP. One of those 2nd place finishes was actually in the $5k NL 2-7 event in 1993, when Billy Baxter won. Only 30 players in the event back then, though.
